How to clean sneakers by hand and avoid the washing machine?

If your sneakers desperately need to be cleaned then you are probably thinking of simply throwing them in the washing machine. This is a terrible idea because you might damage them and this is the last thing you want to do, right?

The only time I do recommend you do wash them in the washing machine is whenever the manufacturers say it is okay so check on your own and see.

If you own Nike or Adidas sneakers then I will save you the trouble and will tell you that they do not recommend cleaning them in the washing machine – I have already checked a while back.

Try this instead

Cleaning your sneakers by hand is the safest option you have.

Mix baking soda and water in order to create a paste. Then dip an old toothbrush in the mixture and scrub the sneakers with it. Scrub both the inside and the outside of the shoes.

Then leave the mixture on the sneakers for a few hours. Continue with filling a bucket or your bathtub with warm water and wash your shoes in there.

After you removed all of the remaining paste off of the sneakers allow them to air dry completely. Keep in mind that this might take a couple of days!

How to clean after your dog

You might have a dog or you are simply considering getting one but you are still researching how hard it really is to take care of one. These creatures will transform your life, making it far more interesting filling it with love and affection. But having a pet sometimes requires you cleaning after it. No matter how well your dog is trained it will still make a mess from times to times and you need to know exactly how to deal with it.

– Wet Wipes

Always keep wet wipes by the front door. This way you will be able to wipe clean your dog’s paws before you let them in your home and you will remove all of the dirt they have picked up.

– Buy a mat

You should buy a mat and place it under the food and water bowls. This will reduce the amount of food that your dog drops on the ground and then licks the floor creating one big mess.

– Buy a washable dog bed

If maintaining your home clean at all times is a priority of yours you should consider buying a dog bed that is washable. You will easily throw it in the washing machine once a week and this gets rid of germs and dirt.

– Don’t leave your dog on the couch or on the bed

If you don’t want pet hair, vomit, saliva (or even worst – urine, poop) then keep your dog away from the couch and from your bed.

– Bathe your dog often

Did you know that regularly bathing your dog will reduce the shedding? A little disclaimer before you start bathing it – buy dog shampoo and do not use any human products.

– Brush your dog

Brush your dog’s fur every day – this will reduce the shedding.

How to remove stains from a microwave

Stains in a microwave are hard to remove when they have been sitting there for too long and they have hardened. One thing is for sure – they are not impossible to be cleaned. You need to do some things to soften them first. Here are some things you can do.

What you will need?

Grab the following:
A bowl (a microwaveable one)
Lemon Juice or Baking Soda
Water

The process

Grab the bowl and fill it with hot water. Add some lemon juice or baking soda.
Then put it in the microwave and heat for a couple of minutes. The steam that’s created from the mixture will soften all of the stains.
Proceed with removing the bowl and wiping the inside of the microwave with a cloth.
If there are still stains that you can’t remove – repeat the process.

What to do after?

Sometimes when you remove a stain you are left with areas that are yellow. You can get rid of that as well.

What will you need?

Water
A cloth
Soap
Nail Polish Remover

The Process

Put some nail polish on the cloth (or cotton ball) and begin wiping the yellow area.
When you are done, wash the inside of the microwave with soap and water and make sure you remove the nail polish remover.

Tips

The cleaning technicians at Monster Cleaning do not advise for anyone to clean their microwave with chemical cleaners. Why? Well, exactly because they contain too many chemicals that you might not remove fully which means that they will transfer to your food or drinks (and this is not good for your health).
