How to Remove Bird Poop Stains From Your Outdoor Furniture?

I must say that after a lot of work, effort, time, and money I finally managed to create the garden of my dreams with a pool and beautiful outdoor furniture but there is still one problem – all the birds that like to poop on my furniture…

This has forced me to become an expert in removing bird poop stains and today, I want to share all my knowledge and secrets with you!

How to Remove Bird Poop Stains From Your Outdoor Furniture?

Start off with scraping the poop with a spoon or a dull knife. Of course, just like any other stain, you do not want to scrub, wipe, or rub the area so you avoid smearing it all over the furniture. Scoop without applying too much pressure.

Next, get an empty spray bottle and fill it with warm water and a few drops of laundry detergent. We will use this cleaner to treat the stain so spray it all over the affected area.

Let it sit for a few minutes then get a soft-bristled brush so you can gently scrub the area and rub the soapy mixture into the stain.

If, however, the stain seems stubborn, you can switch the laundry detergent for oxygen bleach – my secret weapon for removing all kinds of stains.

The last step is rinsing the area and then letting it air-dry. Since we are treating outdoor furniture, simply use your garden hose.

4 Ways To Remove Stains Out of Your Linen Clothes

Linen is my favourite fabric to wear during the summer – but the more linen clothes I have, the more I have to deal with removing stains from them.

Thankfully, there are four different effective ways for stain removal that I use and I will tell you all about them today!

When you spill something on your linen clothes, it’s important not to panic and immediately get started with the cleaning process. The longer you wait, the harder the process will become.

4 Ways To Remove Stains Out of Your Linen Clothes

Corn starch or baking soda

My favourite way to remove stains is by sprinkling the affected area with either baking soda or corn starch. These powders are great in absorbing liquids and work very well. On top of that, they are cheap and everyone has them at home.

Wait for at least 15 minutes before you remove the powder and wash the clothing item in cold water.

White Vinegar

Another favourite natural ingredient that I use for cleaning is white vinegar – and it happens to be something that can remove stains from linen which is great. Soak a cloth in vinegar then gently dab the affected area for a while. Next, rinse and wash with cold water. Repeat these steps as many times as necessary until you are happy with the results.

Hydrogen peroxide

Do you have hydrogen peroxide at home? Then use it to remove stains from linen clothes. Spray the hydrogen peroxide on the stained area and let it sit for 30 minutes before washing the clothing item as usual.

Oxygen Bleach

If the linen clothing item is light then you can also use oxygen bleach. Soak the stained area in the liquid then wash as usual.

How To Clean Any Kind Of Upholstery Furniture?

Do you need a guide on cleaning upholstery? You might have a suede sofa and a few leather chairs that you have no idea how to clean properly. Today, I will show you exactly how I clean my upholstered furniture so you know what to do!

How To Clean Any Kind Of Upholstery Furniture?

– How to clean microfiber/ cloth upholstery?

The first thing you need to do is sprinkle baking soda all over the upholstery and let it sit for a few hours. It will absorb any bad odours, body-liquids, and other impurities. Then, of course, grab a vacuum cleaner and remove the powder.

This is the most effective and easy way to clean your microfiber/ cloth sofa!

– How to clean leather upholstery?

This is easier than you think! Dampen a cloth with water then add a drop or two of a liquid soap. Then wipe the leather with it. Make sure you also have another damp cloth so you can wipe the soapy residue as well.

Then grab olive oil and pour a few drops on another cloth – and start buffing it into the leather. This will help condition it so it’s shiny and does not crack. Make sure you use little oil!

– How to clean suede upholstery?

Suede is very difficult to clean especially if you have stained it which is why you need to be very careful around your suede upholstery. Do not eat or drink anywhere near it!

I also highly recommend you apply a special suede protecting spray which will act as a barrier between impurities and the surface. You need to reapply it every few months.

But when it comes to cleaning suede upholstery, I like to deodorize it with baking soda – just sprinkle baking soda over the surface, let it sit for a few hours, and then vacuum it up.

Then I grab a suede brush and use that to wipe the surface. Next, I grab a suede eraser and wipe any small stains.

This Is The Best Recipe For A DIY Laundry Stain Remover You Can Try!

Is there something worse than staining your favourite clothing item? Recently, I got an incredible sweater that I fell in love with – it’s warm, soft, and perfect for the winter, however, not even two days after buying it, I stained it with the tomato sauce I made for the spaghetti I was going to make for dinner. And did you know what I did? I panicked and almost had a nervous breakdown. And once I finally calmed down, I managed to call my mother and ask her what can I do to fix the situation and remove the stain.

She told me an incredible recipe for a DIY laundry stain remover that is universal and can be applied on all sorts of stains. After giving it a try, I was amazed because it really worked – and now my sweater is once again free of any stains!

This Is The Best Recipe For A DIY Laundry Stain Remover You Can Try!

You are probably expecting some fancy ingredients that need to be mixed, however, you only need two things – hydrogen peroxide and liquid dish soap… that’s it!

Just mix equal parts of both of these ingredients in a bowl and mix – and your laundry stain remover is ready to be used!

Apply it to the affected area of your clothing item and let it sit for 30 minutes. And by applying it, I mean saturate it! Of course, in some cases you might need to gently rub it into the stain – it all depends on the type of stain and, of course, the type of fabric the clothing item is.

After letting it sit, you can simply throw the garment in your washing machine and wash it as usual, however, once you take it our check to see whether the stain is removed before you place it in your dryer. As you probably know, the heat from the dryer is going to set in the stain making it impossible to remove later so you need to be careful. If the stain still remains, apply more of the stain remover we made and repeat these same steps!

How To Easily Clean Your Yoga Mat?

Did you know that you have to clean your yoga mat after every use? After all, you do not want all that sweat and impurities near your body or face every time you use it! Of course, not everyone has a lot of free time which is why I have a few different cleaning methods you can use depending on how much time you have.

If You Have 30 Minutes

If you have 30 free minutes to clean your yoga mat then grab a detergent (you can use liquid dish soap) and dilute it in a bucket of water. If you have a bathtub then you can use that instead of a bucket (it will be so much easier). Then grab a sponge, dip the yoga mat in your bathtub (or bucket) and start scrubbing. Scrub for a few minutes then rinse with warm clean water.

Then just let your yoga mat fully dry before you use it. You can take it outside if it’s sunny which will speed up the drying!

If You Have 5 Minutes

If you are extremely busy and you do cannot waste more than 5 minutes on cleaning a yoga mat then do this!

Mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with a few drops of your favourite essential oil in a spray bottle. I like to use lavender because it smells amazing and it also has antibacterial properties!

This mixture will be your “antibacterial spray”. I recommend you spray your yoga mat with this vinegar mixture after every use just to make sure you keep it clean and disinfected between sessions. After you spray the mat with the mixture let it sit for 1-2 minutes then wipe with a cloth to remove the excess moisture.

If You Have 30 Seconds

If you don’t have the time or you don’t feel like doing the previous method and you want something quicker then just buy antibacterial wipes and use them between sessions.

However, I need to warn you that you still need to deep clean the yoga mat from time to time especially if you use one of these easy and quick cleaning methods!

Here Is How To Clean Your Home When You Have Allergies!

Having allergies can be a nightmare. I have allergies as well and do you know what has helped me tremendously? Changing the way I clean my home. It really makes a huge difference – and who doesn’t want an allergy-free life?

So for all people with allergies – here is how you should clean your home in order to improve your condition!

Clean Twice A Week

Removing the dust and dirt from all surfaces in your home is a crucial step in battling allergies – and cleaning once a week is simply not enough.

That is why I clean my home twice a week – on Wednesdays and on Sundays. I have found that this has helped my allergies a lot.

Focus On Your Bedroom

When cleaning your home you really need to focus on your bedroom because that is where you spend a lot of your time.

If you tend to wake up and have a stuffy nose then focus on replacing your sheets twice a week.

You also need to wash your pillow (yes, your pillow) once a month. Thankfully, you can simply throw it in the washing machine.

Another crucial step is to clean your mattress. One of the best ways to do that is by using a steam cleaner – so if you happen to have one, use it to steam clean your mattress a few times a year. It’s really beneficial because the steam extracts all the dirt, dust, germs, body-liquids, and other impurities that the mattress absorbs on a daily basis.

If you don’t have a steam cleaner then you can always book a cleaning company to do it for you.

Vacuum Your Upholstery

Whenever you clean your home (as I said, you should do it at least twice a week) you need to also vacuum your upholstery – from curtains to sofas, all upholstery absorbs way too much dirt and dust which can trigger your allergies.

I have noticed a huge difference in how I feel ever since I started regularly cleaning my sofa.

Never Walk With Shoes Inside Your Home

You can’t even imagine how dirty your shoes really are which is why you need to avoid walking with them inside your home at all cost.

I take them off the second I get inside my home and I replace them with some house slippers which are clean.

By doing that your home will remain clean for longer and you won’t spread all sorts of impurities that your shoes have trapped from the outside.

Don’t you just hate when you have to clean your windows and the product you use leaves smudges and streaks behind? Window cleaning is already such an annoying task but when you use the wrong product it gets even more time-consuming and frustrating.

Well, I have the solution to your problems – a homemade windows cleaner! Yes, you can make a very effective window cleaner at home using natural ingredients you already have? That is right – you don’t need to spend a lot of money on cleaning products that don’t even work that well!

In fact, all you need to do in order to make your window cleaner is to mix three ingredients I can guarantee you have at home – water, white vinegar, and liquid soap.

You also need an empty a spray bottle to transfer your mixture in so that it’s much easier to use.

I recommend wiping the window with either a newspaper or with a squeegee. Yes, I do not recommend you use any microfiber cloths or paper towels because they will leave a ton of smudges and water stain behind – and this is the last thing we want, right?

You have probably heard of the newspaper window cleaning trick – it’s what our grandparents have used to achieve a spotless clean window. So many years later this hack still works and is one of my favourites!

What Else Can You Clean With It?

I love this recipe so much because it doesn’t leave any streaks or stains behind and it really makes your windows spotless. You can also use it to clean your mirrors and glass shower doors.

Another great way to use this window cleaner is to spray any stainless steel kitchen appliance you have and wipe it with a microfiber cloth. It works great at removing smudges, fingerprints, and even stains from certain surfaces.

How To Remove Cranberry Stains From Clothes, Carpets, and Upholstery?

Dealing with cranberry stains is a nightmare. Similar to tomatoes and red wine, cranberries leave a bright red stain behind which can be hard to remove. But, of course, if you are quick in treating the affected area and you know what steps to take you shouldn’t worry!

How To Remove Cranberry Stains From Clothes?

If you spilt cranberry juice on your clothes then you need to gently blot the affected area with a napkin in order to remove the excess.

If you dropped cranberries then you should grab a spoon and remove the excess.

Then you need to “flush” the stain under running cold water. I prefer to hold the fabric with the wrong way up and flush it that way.

Once you do that you need to treat the stain. I normally use laundry detergent. I pour some on the affected area and I work it in with my fingers. And remember – be gentle and never rub aggressively.

If the stain is removed then you can throw the clothing item in the washing machine but if the stain remains then make sure you rinse the area and remove the laundry detergent completely. Then grab an oxygen-based bleach, dilute it with water in a large bucket, and soak the entire clothing piece in there. You can leave it for a few hours or you can even leave it overnight for the best results.

The next morning the stain should be removed completely!

How To Remove Cranberry Stains From Upholstery Or Carpets?

If you spilt cranberry juice or cranberries on a carpet or on upholstery then the first thing you need to do is similar to what I described for the clothes. Blot the cranberry juice or remove the excess cranberries with a spoon.

Now it’s time to treat the stain. Mix cold water and oxygen-based bleach, dip a cloth in the mixture, and start treating the stain. Again, you need to be gentle – never rub, simply blot.

The stain should be gone by now which means it’s time to remove the bleach mixture. Rinse the area by using a clean damp cloth then allow the area to air-dry.

Want to easily clean your shower? Use this homemade recipe cleaner!

Cleaning the shower often involves countless hours of scrubbing and elbow grease, right? That is exactly why I hated this chore and I used to neglect it like there is no tomorrow.

However, I knew that if I don’t clean it – no one will clean it for me which meant that the cleanliness of my bathroom depends only on me. This is why I decided to find a cleaning method which would be easier. I dedicated my time to find this – and I succeeded!

Here is a homemade shower cleaner you will love!

Forget about scrubbing and wasting your time on cleaning the shower – there is a much easier way to do it. By making this homemade shower cleaner you will always have a spotless shower without doing much!

And guess what – you don’t need that many ingredients. In fact, you only need three ingredients – vinegar, liquid dish soap, and your favourite essential oil!

Why vinegar? It’s a great way to remove soap scum and build-up because it’s highly acidic. I hate the smell which is why I add essential oils!

Now, mix all of the ingredients in a spray bottle and you are ready! I recommend you shake the mixture well before using it.

How to use it? Spray the shower after using it every day!

Here is how to clean your computer screen without damaging it!

A computer screen is one of those things that get dirty extremely fast yet you don’t do anything about it. You avoid cleaning them because you don’t want to damage them, right? Well, fortunately, there are cleaning methods out there that won’t do any harm.

I know some people use glass cleaners, however, this is not the best option for cleaning computer screens since you can remove protective coatings with it.

So if you are indeed using a glass cleaner – ditch it!

Instead, do this:

All you need is microfiber cloth, distilled water and a spray bottle!

The first thing you need to do is unplug your computer/ monitor. This is for safety. Plus, you would be able to see dirt and smudges way easier when the screen is black!

Then grab the microfiber cloth and wipe the screen with it. This is a great way to remove impurities without the risk of scratching the screen.

The next thing you should do is spray the distilled water on the cloth – but spray just a little since you don’t want the cloth to be soaked. Wipe the screen with it.

DO NOT spray the water directly on the screen because the moisture can cause serious damage!

Once you are done grab another clean microfiber cloth and dry the screen.
